A single-herb liquid extract of dried fruit of Amomum kravanh, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

Bai dou kou is a ginger relative of Cambodia, Thailand and Hainan whose fruit is a round, pale, papery capsule the size of a large pea, ribbed lengthways and splitting into three, with a cluster of hard dark aromatic seeds inside. It is the round cardamom of Southeast Asian cooking, quite distinct from the long green pods of true cardamom, and its smell is more camphorous and less sweet.

No added sugar. Contains no artificial colours, preservatives or fragrances.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.

Warnings

Not for use in pregnancy in more than culinary amounts. Not suitable if you have stomach or duodenal ulcers.
